Paticipant Thoughts - Cecile Michel

It has been a great experience to listen to many different specialists and professionals, all working on many aspects of textile production. Moreover, the visits of the different projects were extremely interesting because it was possible to ask all the questions you have in mind when studying texts or archaeological artifacts:

How long does it takes to set up the loom? To weave 16 meters? What tools do you use? What traces are left by a ground loom? The answer is: none, etc.

The conference helped to create new contacts and to complete new international collaborations: as an example, we hope that the GDRI project ATOM between France, Denmark and UK will start in 2015... And will lead to wider collaborations and many more projects.
